It's a fair value for the amount and quality of product, at $19 for a 4.5 gram jar. This may seem a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way with these, especially the darker shades that can also be used as liners.
Like all the other Benefit creaseless cream shadows, stiletto comes in a heavy glass jar with a solid plastic screw top.
The color is rather unappealing and even a bit scary in the jar. It looks like a red purple with no redeeming qualities to offset the I've-been-crying-for-a-week look you're bound to get lining your eyes with it. On skin, however, it's a different story.
Full sun
Shade
As you can see in the full sun swatch, there's a distinct copper undertone that balances out the red to keep you from looking Ebola Chic when you wear it. Instead, it really brought out the blue in my eyes. I use this as a liner rather than as a shadow, but it would probably make a really lovely smoky eye if that's your thing. I like just smudging it on in a thickish line, adding mascara, and calling it a day. It lasts most of the day before starting to fade when worn on its own, longer if you set it with some powder shadow. Recommended.
